Ideas & Recipes

Shrubs are very versatile because they are a concentrate.  The options are endless for what you can do with them, but here’s a basic recipe list to get you started:

 

  • Shrub and soda water

– 1 ounce Shrub and fill glass to taste with soda water

  • Simple Shrub cocktail

-1 ounce Shrub, 1 ounce hard alcohol (Vodka, rum, tequila, etc.  Gin is our favorite!) and fill glass to taste with soda water

  • Troy’s Winter Warmer

-Developed by our lovely friend Troy in Cumberland!  1 ounce Cranberry Apple Shrub, 1 ounce Bourbon, hot water, dash of cinnamon

  • Autumn Harvest

-Created by the amazing staff @ Locals Restaurant!  1 ounce Peach Cardamom Vanilla Shrub, 1 ounce Drambuie, 1 ounce Bourbon, muddled orange peel, soda water

  • Spiced Peach Cocktail

-1 ounce Peach Cardamom Vanilla Shrub, 1 ounce spiced rum, soda water

  • Blair and Jon’s Shrub Strawberry Daiquiri

-2 oz dark rum, 1.5 oz Strawberry Basil Pink Peppercorn Shrub, dash of balsamic reduction, ice, soda water

  • Stolen Kiss

-2 oz Bourbon, 1 oz Shrub, 0.5 oz lemon juice, 0.25 oz maple syrup,  ice, and soda water.

  • Turkish Delight

-1 oz Quince Rosewater Shrub, 1 oz lemon vodka, top with soda, garnish with lemon wedge

  • Blueberry Tea

-1 oz Blueberry Earl Grey Shrub, 1 oz Cointreau, top with soda

  • Shrub 75

-0.5 oz Campari, 0.5 oz Cointreau, 1 oz Pear Thyme Shrub, top with soda

  • Basic Champagne Sangria

-1 oz Shrub of choice, 0.5-1 oz complimentary liquor, 3-4 oz champagne, top up with soda

  • Citrus Champagne Sangria

-1 oz Lemon Lime Shrub, 1 oz Cointreau liquor, 3-4 oz champagne, top with soda

  • Tropical Champagne Sangria

-1 oz Pineapple Turmeric Shrub, 1 oz tequila, 3-4 oz champagne, top with soda

  • Burnin’ Love Martini

-3/4 oz Sangrita Shrub, 1 oz Vodka, 3/4 oz Creme de Cacao, 1/4 oz Triple Sec, pinch of chili flakes, twist of orange

  • White Whale Shrub Special

-1 oz Pineapple Turmeric Shrub, 1 oz Gin, dash of Campari, top with soda
